This is the perfect opportunity for novice boaters to experience the joy of boating while learning safe practices for preparing to leave the dock, while underway, and when returning to dock. If you’ve never been boating before, or have limited sailing experience, this is the perfect format for you to get you started and explore BC’s costal waters.

The focus of this Standard is on the development of basic sailing and seamanship skills as well as the knowledge needed to make the decisions expected of a skipper.
